Animal Lover!!!

I am delighted to contribute to the Weekly Photo Challenge – Animals.

Delighted because I simply love animals. My mum still tells me stories of me making doggie friends very early on, bringing home kittens after rescuing them from a thorny bush, putting my hands inside a cage just to pet a wild cat and many many more. As I grew older, I never outgrew my love for all things alive.

So for me spotting an animal and clicking it is not just a chance event. Everytime I am out clicking, I keep my eyes and ears open for an opportunity to spot ’em. I like to capture those moments- some fun, some crazy, some cute, some different and mostly very ‘animal’y. I love the fact that they don’t care about me clicking them, they just remain as they are and let me be me. Of course I do ensure that I respect their space not only while clicking, as I would of any human.

I am sharing herewith a few jewels captured till date. I truly believe that all creatures alive are Special in their own way and we need to Love and respect them.

Eyes of Gold

I’d never seen anything quiet like this one. A slate grey cat with a soft uniform fur and beautiful golden eyes. I think she belonged to the security guards of a housing complex in Kryvyi Rih -Ukraine.

cooesncuddlesphotography/Animallover/The couple

The Couple

On a photo walk in Mumbai I found this couple, who’d just had a big row and weren’t ready to make up. Grr… I am sure the male was at fault!!! ;o)
They did present a great photo opp to me.

Furrr ball

While the tourists gallivanted the streets of Florence, this fur ball just went about his job of sleeping and ignoring admirers like me. I think he was pretty great at it.

Live Life Cow Size

Who wouldn’t want a life so great, that you’d roam about the beautiful Swiss Alps in search for food, laze around in the plains, drink the pristine waters of the lakes and return to the barn at night to sleep. I want to Live Life Cow Size!!!

cooesncuddlesphotography/Animallover/The Mexican

The Mexican

“Ola Amigo” said this parakeet when I walked passed him in the narrow alleys of Ixtapa’s flea market. Oh so Mexican to make my head turn and demand a very well deserved attention. Sad he was also behind bars!!

cooesncuddlesphotography/Animallover/Chip or Dale??

Chip or Dale???

Celebrity sighting was definitely on the cards on my evening stroll in Central Park, NY. Chip or Dale… its for you to guess!

True Beauty

The only bear I saw on my trip to the Bear Mountains, USA was this huggy bear and it was Love at first sight. After numerous hugs and kisses and a few photographs to remember him, with a heavy heart (only at my end) I left for home. I have never seen a Dog so grand and commanding so much respect. Bow Wow Wow!

I know this family isn’t roaming about the jungles of Africa but the Cologne Zoo doesn’t seem like a bad option right now..huh! Enjoying the afternoon sun, this family of Giraffes does paint a very perfect “Happy Family Portrait” kind of picture. I know there aren’t Happy Happy in captivity, but at least they look well fed and safe from any other threats.

Bird Watching!!!

Finally, one of my favourites. This seagull looked pretty darn satisfied just watching his fellow gulls fly past him over the canals in Amsterdam. I remember him being there for almost 12-15 mins just “Bird watching”.

Hope you enjoyed these clicks as much as I enjoy experiencing them. I wish to keep finding more of such beautiful moments, to see them in their own element, enjoying their natural habitats, wild and free.

Cheers & Joy, Always!

Hello friends,

Life seems to be back on track and I am clicking more and more, always on a quest to find a better picture. To shake up things on the Photography front, I participated in the Global Photo Walk by 500px on 17 Sep 2016 and ain’t I glad. The photowalk started at the Deira Fish Market & covered the Gold Souk, Spice Souk and of course the creek. Somehow my fascination for fish markets took over and I spent a lot of my time here. One of the last images I liked in the fish market sits so well in the Weekly Photo Challenge – Quest.

As I was about to exit the fish market, I noticed a dead fish lying on the drain cover. I couldn’t help but feel sorry for that little fish as my mind conjured up a story about its quest for freedom and its way back home. From getting caught in the nets of the fishermen that morning to being brought here in a bucket full of fellow fishes to somehow managing to jump out of the bucket and somehow finally reaching as far as the drain cover but finally not being able to get through the narrow openings in the drain cover and dying lying there in the Dubai heat – huh… my story was complete. The story of that lone fighter on it quest to find home again. Sad it died but at least it tried!

The Lone Fighter

All this happened within a few seconds of looking at this fish. I clicked the picture and then went away. Its funny how the human mind can travel in so many different directions and make us feel much more than what we see.

Anyhow, hope you get it too.

Cheers & Joy, Always!

Spare Moments! {WPC}

With a few moments to spare today, I decided to work on some images from a few weeks ago. I clicked these moments while my son and my niece enjoyed their spare moments doing exactly what kids were born to do. It’s perfect for the Weekly photo challenge- Spare.

Cheers & Joy, Always!

Dance Dance – WPC!

It is amazing how Bhopal never fails to surprise me. On my recent visit there, I was able to see some really vibrant and colourful Hot air balloons at the International Hot Air Balloon Fest. For me n my lil munchkin this was a brand new experience and we were in complete awe. All I can say is that they are big and pretty and of course were dancing with the hot air inside them and the wind blowing them everywhere. Loved em! These pictures are my contribution to the Weekly Photo Challenge – Dance!

Thank you Bhopal for another great experience. So what that they didn’t fly, just looking at them made us Happy and Excited!!

Here’s a glimpse. Enjoy!

Cheers & Joy, Always!

Hello everyone,

I am back with another Weekly Photo Challenge-Alphabet. I was anyways about to share these images of my son playing with the huge “be.WELCOME” placed at the Atomium in Brussels. He wasn’t the only kid around having a ball on those alphabets.

Cheers & Joy, Always!

Trio – Weekly Photo Challenge

I have the perfect picture for the Daily Post- Weekly Photo Challenge. It’s one of my favourite pictures of balloons. Pretty in pastel colours, there are balloons and they are up in the sky, what more do I need. The bonus here for me is that there are 3 of them. Just what’s needed for the Trio Challenge. Yey!

Cheers & Joy, Always!

The Weekly Photo Challenge- Door, gives me an opportunity to share more about my beloved city Bhupal(Bhopal).

I present to you Shaukat Mahal and Sadar Manzil, the royal treasures situated in the heart of city that are the doorway to Chowk Bazaar ‘Bhupal’. These buildings are a combination of Asian and Western styles of architecture, making them stand out in a crowd of traditional Islamic architectural wonders. The Shaukat  Mahal said to be designed by a Frenchman- a descendant of the bourbon Dynasty, is a perfect  blend of oriental & occidental styles of architecture. It is flanked by the Sadar Manzil which served as a Hall of Public Audience during the princely period. Both the Shaukat Mahal & Sadar Manzil are adorned by many different doors & windows all around. And hence they fit perfectly in my Weekly Photo Challenge- Door post.

These buildings now house government offices, mostly those of Bhupal Municipal Corporation. Although they’ve been run down by time, weather and human disregard, they still emanate royalty. So on your next trip to my city, do spend a few minutes and spare a glance at them. They are worth that much in the least.

Cheers & Joy, Always!
