Hello there !
Its been almost 6 months that we’ve moved here and Dubai is growing on me. From the stress of moving your life into this completely new domain, I have now moved into this cocoon of comfort that this city offers. It is all because of the wonderful people I ve met, the amazing infrastructure that Dubai offers and of course the surroundings and environment that we encounter on a day to day basis.
Living in a city that is a major tourist hub, especially at this time of the year, you realise how much the beauty of all things- big and small, make u fall in love with it slowly and steadily. I know its just one factor amongst many that has contributed to this, but I truly believe when u live amongst such beauty, it makes u feel good each and everyday. So here’s my take on Dubai Marina, the very dynamic and absolutely beautiful part of Dubai.

I am now wrapping up another successful year. I believe if you’ve gone through the whole year, lived through the ups and downs, done your thing, strut your stuff and are still here smiling over it, you’ve had a successful year indeed. I have!
Now all that is needed is for me reminisce on the events of 2016, take the learnings forward to 2017 and of course think how the New Year can be better than before. I wouldn’t call this a cliched “Setting up New Year Resolutions” kind of thing, but a step towards my growth into a better me, a better us. I don’t even have a long list, just 2-3 lil steps towards a better future not just for me but my small lil family. It’s something I am not waiting to start, but have already begun when I first thought of it.
I’ve decided to share the most important change I plan to bring about now. A change that hopefully will alter how we all Dream and of course Live our Dreams. I hope that starting now, we as a family, will try and implant the seeds of Bigger Dreams, Unending Possibilities and Wider Horizons in our home. We hopefully will be able to foster an environment rich enough for our child to Champion his passions and of course for him to grow into a Big Dreamer. Only as we set examples of Bigger Adventures and  Deeper Passions that we pursue, will we be able to be the Role Models for our lil Dreamer.
I’d like to end with a small note not just for lil ones, but for the Child within all of us. Any moment is a good moment to have a Dream and any Dream is Achievable. So go on Dream Big !

Our Emirati sojourns officially began yesterday with a short trip to Al Ain, the beautiful Garden City of UAE. It surely is a very pleasant surprise with more greenery around, hardly any high rise in sight and of course much lower decibel levels.
There’s so much to do here for  everyone- Museums, Forts, Zoo etc. It’s a family getaway for sure. All we had time for yesterday was the Al Ain zoo and a drive to the top of Jebel Hafeet to experience the spectacular sunset from the top.
Rising 1,240 metres, Jebel Hafeet is the emirate’s highest peak, and UAE’s second that stands guard over Al Ain and borders Oman.

The ride to the top is not an easy one but the views of the craggy and beautifully weathered mountain all along surely are worth the trouble.

Once on top, all you need to do is find the right place to stop and park ( many stopover points all along) and enjoy the view.

We thoroughly enjoyed a few hours of bliss up there and will be going back soon again. If you are in and around Al Ain, surely take time out to enjoy this view from the top. I can assure you of an unforgettable experience.

The National Coming Out Day (NCOD),an annual LGBT awareness day, was celebrated on 11 Oct in USA. It actually reminded me of a very colourful and unique event witnessed in Amsterdam in 2015, the Canal Parade – Amsterdam Gay Pride.
Celebrating love!
Amsterdam Pride or Amsterdam Gay Pride is a citywide gay-festival held annually during August, meant to celebrate equality, freedom and diversity. The festival attracts several hundred-thousand visitors each year and is one of the largest publicly held annual events in the Netherlands.The Canal Parade is the highlight of Amsterdam Pride and is a very happy and joyous event.
The Talk
The Canal Parade is exciting to the core. People dressed in colourful & fun attires, some dressed to impress, some definitely dressed to kill! Boats with the craziest music and the most outrageous tricks. The spectators cheering the participants and enjoying everything to bits! Whoa… What an event!!! A most memorable one.
I grabbed this opportunity to click some beautiful portraits and street shots and I was glad to be there.
